Caola from Microfilm at the Historical Society of Pennsylvania In the name of God, Amen. I Charles Leeper of the Township of Fannet in the County of Franklin and State of Pennsylvania, being weak of body but of perfect mind and memory, thanks be given to God, calling unto mind the mortality of my body and knowing that it is appointed for all men once to die, do make and order this my last will and Testament that is to say principally and first of all I give and Recommend my soul unto the hands of Almighty God that give it and my body I recommend to the Earth to be buried in a Christian burial manner at the discretion of my Family nothing doubting but at the general Resurrection I shall receive the same again by the mighty power of God and as touching such worldly estate wherewith it has pleased God to bless me within this life I give and demise and dispose of the same in the following manner and form, First of all I do allow all my just debts to be paid. Item, I give and bequeath all my estate real and personal to my beloved wife Margaret Leeper, all my estate real and personal and to be at her disposal at her death only she must will the aforesaid or what remains at her death of it in the family in the manner she thinks proper. In witness whereof I have set my hand and seal this 26th day of April. Signed sealed and pronounced by Charles Leeper his Charles Leeper [SEAL] Last will and Testament in the presence of us John Elder Thomas Morrow Franklin County, S/S On the 4th of December A.D. 1818. Before me Register to in and for said County personally appeared John Elder and Thomas Morrow the subscribing witnesses to the within instrument of writing who being duly sworn depose and say that they were personally present and saw Charles Leeper who is now deceased write his name unto and heard him publish the same as and for his Last will and Testament___that at the time of doing thereof he the said deceased was of a sound and disposing mind, memory and understanding according to the best of their knowledge and belief and the names of those deponants thereto subscribed as witnesses are respectively of their own [illegible] per hands writing done at the same time.
