I bequeath unto my wife Polly the third of the income of my plantation whereon I now reside, which is to be delivered to her by my two nephews Jacob Cooter and George Cooter hereinafter named in the manner following the grain to be delivered in the bushel and as much hay as will be sufficient for two cows & four sheep to be delivered un to the barn yearly and stable room for cows. I further bequeath unto my said wife two cows four sheep and as many hogs as will be sufficient for her winters meat. and she is to have privilege to as many apples as will be necessary for her own use, for cider and butter, and she is to have a room below and one upstairs in my mansion house and also privilege to Kitchen and cellar therein, and also my said nephews are to supply her with sufficiency of fire wood, and my said wife is also permitted to keep one person with her in the house and no more. She is also to have the one third of all my personal estate excepting the clock and stove and she is to have the two beds which she brought with her extra. Item I give and bequeath unto my nephew Jacob Cooter the stove and clock, and I further order that all the remainder of my personal estate shall be sold by my executors herein after named and they shall also pay my just debts as soon as the can after my decease. Item I further bequeath unto my nephews Jacob Cooter and George Cooter my plantation whereon I now reside to be equally divided between them according to the quality thereof taking into consideration the buildings and improvements which said dividend is to be made by three honest disinterested men, who are to be chosen by my executors hereinafter named, and my nephew Jacob is to have the mansion house and barn and George is to have the part where the buildings are on the north east end of farm. Item I do further order that my said nephews Jacob and George are hereby bound to deliver to my said wife the articles hereinafter mention in such manner and time as she may require it. Item. I do further order that my said nephew Jacob and George shall pay unto my nephew John Mowen son of my brother John the sum of one hundred Dollars and unto my step daughter Elizabeth McGinly also one hundred dollars and unto their sisters Polly Cooter and Catherine Cooter six hundred dollars, but if in the case the heirs of Nicholas Stuff should lay claim to a part of said lands then my nephews Jacob and George shall pay said claim out of the six hundred dollars, and the balance of said six hundred to Polly and Catherine Cooter. I do further order that my nephews Jacob and John Cooter shall pay the above sum as follows. one hundred and fifty dollars yearly and if in case my wife should survive me then the are note to pay any until her death and if I should survive her then the payments shall commence one year after my decease. Item. I further order that if in case my personal estate should not be sufficient to discharge my debts then my nephew are to pay said deficiency exclusive of the payments heretofore mentioned and if there should be any over plus it is to be equally divided between them and their sisters. And lastly I do hereby appoint my friends Jacob Snively and Joseph Snively Jr to be the executors of this my last will and hereby revoking all other wills and bequest heretofore by me made and declaring this and no other to be my last will and Testament. In witness whereof the said George Mowen has signed sealed and declared this and no other to be his last will and testament in the presence of us, who in his presence and at his request have subscribed as witnesses this 11th day of May 1829. Hetich Register and in & for said County Jerimiah Jordan & Joseph Snively Jr witnesses to the forgoing & within instrument of writing who being duly sworn and affirmed according to law did depose & say they were severally present & saw George Mowen now deceased make his mark unto & heard him publish pronounce and declare the same as and for his last will & testament & that at the time of doing thereof the said deceased was of sound & disposing mind memory & understanding according to the best of their knowledge & belief & that their names as witnesses to the said instrument is in their own proper handwriting & done at the same time. sworn affirmed & subscribed before me on this 8th day of May 1830.
