As to such state as it hath pleased God to entrust me with I dispose of the same as follows Wit, And first direct my Executors hereinafter named to sell my real estate as soon after my decease as possible in order to have my estate settled in one year from the date of my death, giving to my Executors all power and authority to make execute and deliver to the purchaser or purchasers thereof as good deed or deeds for the same as I now have. Item: I give and bequeath to my son Jacob Wall two hundred dollars. Item: I give and bequeath to my daughter Elizabeth Henneberger five hundred dollars. Item: I give and bequeath to my son Abraham Wall five hundred dollars. Item: I give and bequeath to my son Michael Wall fifty dollars. Item: I give and bequeath to my daughter Nancy Stouffer five hundred dollars. Item: I give and bequeath to my daughter Catharine Notts five hundred dollars. Item: I give and bequeath to my daughter Sarah Brechbill five hundred dollars. And it is my will and I hereby direct my said Executor to pay the aforesaid bequest to my children herein before named within one year from the day of my death, and as to all the rest residue and remainder of my estate over and above any debts I may have my funeral expenses and all the expenses of settling my estate I direct and it is my will that my Executors to distribute the same equally to and amoung my children share and share alike (except the share coming to my son Michael. I give and bequeath the same to the children of my son Michael by his first wife, and direct my said Executors to pay the said share to them the said children of my son Michael by his first wife, or to their guardian for them. And lastly I nominate constitute and appoint my son Jacob Wall and my friend George Spreecher Executors of this my last will and testament. In witness whereof I, Joseph Wall have hereunto set my hand and seal this eight day of September AD 1859. His mark X Joseph Wall Signed sealed published and declared said Joseph Wall as and for his last Will and Testament, in the presence of us who have hereunto subscribed our names witnesses thereto in the presence of the said Testor and of each of us. F. L. Stumbaugh John Doebler Franklin County: Registers office October 27th 1862 personally appeared I. H. McCauley and David Wertz who being duly qualified did say that they are well acquainted with the hand writing of F. L. Stumbaugh and John Doebler the subscribing witnesses to the foregoing last will and testament of Joseph Wall died that they have frequently seen them write their names and that they believe the signatures to be in their own hand writing. Boyer Register You Jacob Wall and George Spreecher do swear and affirm that as Executors of Joseph Wall late of Letterkenny Township deceased you will and truly administer the goods and chattels rights and receipts of said deceased according to law also diligently and faithfully regard and well and truly comply with the provisions of the law relating to collateral inheritances.
