All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/pa/fulton/ ________________________________________________ LAND WARRANT APPLICATION - Shirley Township, Bedford, now Dublin Township, Fulton County, PA James Ramsey of the township of Sirley (sic) in the County of Huntingdon applies for four Hundred acres of land, situated in Dublin Township Bedford County, adjoining lands of James Allen on the south and the Cove mountain on the West, Benjamin Ellet [Elliott] on the West and Robert Harvey in the North; on which tract he has made an actual settlement and Improvement. (Signed) James Ramsey To the Secretary of the Land office Bedford County. Before us the subscribers, two of the justices of the peace in and for said county personally came George Davis, a disinterested Witness, and being sworn(?) agreeabley to law, did depose and say, that to his certain knowledge, the above described tract of land was first improved in the month of December 1808 and not before; that grain has been raised thereon, and that the said George Davis and family has contin(u)ed to reside on the same tract of land ever since until November 1815. John Davis Bedford County Before me the subscriber a Justis of the peace in and for said county personally came Jame Ramsey the above applicant who being duly sworn according to the law did ___ and say that to the best of his knowledge and belief, no warrant or other other (sic) office right has issued for the land above described either in his own name , or in the name or names of any person or persons, under whom he claims the same.
