(McConnellsburg, Pa.): January 18, 1900 Miss Minerva J. Bedford, formerly of Whips Cove, this county, died at her home at Salem, Ohio, January 6, 1900, aged 68 years, 8 months and 11 days. She was born in Montgomery county, Maryland, September 26, 1831, and at the age of ten years, her father, with his family, removed to Whips Cove, where Miss Bedford lived until 1881, when she went to Ohio. At the age of 18, she was converted to God, joined the M. E. Church, and remained a faithful and consistent member to the day of her death… The immediate cause of her death was pneumonia, which fastened itself on her life on the last day of the old year, but so tenacious was its hold, that she lived but six days. Of her immediate family there survive her a sister, Mrs. A. R. Miller, of Hickory, Ohio, and a brother, B. F. Bedford, of McKibbin, this county.
