Romaine Bard

McConnellsburg, 82 

Romaine Bard, 82, died Monday, October 4, 2004, in Fulton County Medical 
Center, where she had been a resident for the past two years. 
She was born December 19, 1921, in McConnellsburg, the daughter of the late 
David and Virginia Wagner Bishop. She was married to the late Orlen “Skinny” 
Bard. 
She was of the Methodist faith. 
Surviving are two sons: Maynard Bard, McConnellsburg, and Donald Bard, 
Chambersburg; five grandchildren; six great-grandchildren and a great-great-
grandchild. 
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; a brother, Raymond 
Bishop; sisters: Ava Hollenshead; Beatrice Sharp, Edna Brant, Pearl Bishop and 
Bernice Hollenshead. 
Visitation will be at Kelso-Cornelius Funeral Home Inc., Thursday, October 7, 
from noon to 1:00 p.m., with the funeral service held at 1:00 p.m. Rev. Donald 
Bard will officiate and interment will be at Union Cemetery. 
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Fulton County Medical 
Center, 216 South First Street, McConnellsburg, PA 17233.
