M. Bard, age about thirty four years, died at his home near Needmore last Sunday evening of spinal meningitis. Mr. Bard’s death was a very sudden and was a great shock to the people of the community in which he survived. He took a severe pain in the head Saturday morning and grew rapidly worse until Sunday evening when he breathed his last. His remains were buried in the cemetery at Ebenezer Church Wednesday afternoon. He leaves a wife and three children to mourn his demise. Nine brothers and three sisters also survive, he being the first to go of a family of thirteen children. Following are the brothers and sisters: Charles, Ross, Oliver and Sherman, Sipes Mill; Henry, Birt and John, Emmeville; Milton J., Pleasant Ridge and George , Pittsburgh; Mrs. Annie Kelso, Knobsville; Mrs. Martha Spade, Sipes Mill and Miss Jessie, Pleasant Ridge.
