William N. Batdorff

		William Norman Batdorff, 51, died at his late home in 
McConnellsburg, RD on January 24, 1947, following an illness of five weeks.  
His death came as a shock to his many friends and relatives.  He was 
hospitalized for a short while and bed fast at the time of his death.
	The deceased was a son of Harvey A. and Rebecca E. Batdorff and was 
born in Licking Creek Township, this county, on January 23, 1896.  He was 
united in marriage to Blanche Reed on June 28, 1924 at Hagerstown, Maryland.  
He followed the carpenter’s trade for a number of years.   In recent months the 
Fulton County Natural Gas Company of McConnellsburg had employed him. 
	Left to mourn him is his parents and devoted wife and two children: 
Goldie R. and Norman E., both at home.  The following brothers and sisters also 
survive Ernest, Edward, Julia Bard, Claude and Wayne all of McConnells Road, 
and Jane Grove of Williamsport, Maryland.
	Funeral services were held on April 27th at 3:PM with the Rev. David R. 
Hoover officiating.  Internment was made in Asbury M. E. Cemetery at Green Hill.
