Black Chambersburg, 67 Elke H. Anders Black, 67, Chambersburg, died Sunday, September 28, 2008, at her home. She was born February 15, 1941, in Geissen, Germany. She was most recently employed at K-Mart in Chambersburg. She was a member of The Open Door Church, where she sang in the church choir for many years and was a member of the quilting circle. She is survived by her husband, William E. Black, whom she married July 9, 1962; a daughter, Carolyn L. Crowder, McConnellsburg; a son, William H. Black, Camp Hill; a sister, Ute Urnau, Germany; a brother, Herman Anders, Germany; a granddaughter; and a step-granddaughter. Services will be Thursday, October 2, at 10:30 a.m., at The Open Door Church, Chambersburg. Revs. Arthur Brown and Carl McKee will officiate. Burial will follow in Norland Cemetery. The family will receive friends Wednesday, October 1, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., at Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home, Chambersburg, and one hour before the service at the church.
