Mary Jane Decker

	Mary Jane Mellott Decker, 84, Harrisonville, died August 16, as she was 
being driven to a doctor’s office.
	Born March 12. 1888, at Needmore, she was the daughter of the late 
Edward and Ellen Swope Mellott.
	She was a member of the Sidling Hill Christian Church, Sideling Hill 
ladies Aid Society, and Green Hill Civic Club.
	She is survived by three sons: Wayne and Kyle Decker, both of 
Harrisonville, and Wendell of Windber; five daughters: Mrs. Edna Bard, and Mrs. 
Ira Strait, both of Harrisonville; Mrs. Thelma Swope, Needmore, Mrs. Cleo 
Fisher, Mercersburg, and Mrs. Vera Woodcock, Kamina, Zaire.  Also surviving is 
one sister Mrs. Eva Williams, Dallas, Tex. and 29 grandchildren and 34 great-
grandchildren.  Funeral services will be held Saturday, August 19, at 2:00 PM 
at Sideling Hill Christian Church with Rev. Floyd Truax officiating.
