Everts Hagerstown, 75 Ray F. Everts, 75, Hagerstown, Md., and formerly of Big Cove Tannery, died Wednesday, February 25, 2009, at Washington County Hospital, Hagerstown. Born in Big Cove Tannery February 22, 1934, he was the son of the late Foster and Margaret (Barnhart) Everts. He was of the Protestant faith, worked on a sawmill in his earlier years and later was a truck driver. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, traveling and going to the Gaither concerts. He is survived by daughters: Susan Sheffield, Italy; Darlene Pittman, Waynesboro; son, Charles Black, McConnellsburg; sisters: Helen Crouse, Big Cove Tannery, and Freda Seburn, Greencastle; six grandchildren; two great- grandchildren and a close friend, Arlene Swope, and her children. Memorial services will be held at Pleasant Grove Christian Church, Warfordsburg, at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, March 7. Pastor Denver Plessinger will officiate. Interment will be private and at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Karen Buterbaugh, 1471 Pump Station Road, Harrisonville, PA 17228.
