Glunt, 85, of Nine Mile Run Lane, Burnt Cabins, died at 4 p.m. Thursday, March 21, 2002, at the Fulton County Medical Center, McConnellsburg. Funeral services were held March 25 at the Martin R. Brown Funeral Home, Orbisonia, with Rev. Belvy White and Rev. Wilson Boyd officiating. Interment was made at Fair Ridge Cemetery, RD Shade Gap. The Fulton Honor Guard conducted a military funeral at the gravesite. Born Oct. 5, 1916, at Altoona, he was a son of the late Holace and Eva (Wolfe) Glunt. He was married to the former Maudlene E. Cook on May 28, 1944, at Hagerstown, Md. Mrs. Glunt survives at their home. Also surviving are: two daughters; Barbara L. Slodysko and Sandra M. Snyder, both of Burnt Cabins; five grandchildren; and two great- grandchildren. Mr. Glunt is also survived by one brother and three sisters: Jonathan Glunt of HCR 71 Orbisonia, Jean Jaymes of Chambersburg, Lois Miller of HCR 71 Orbisonia and Thelma Goshorn of Linglestown. One brother, Edwin, and one sister, Rhoda Mills, preceded him in death. He was of the Protestant faith. A self-employed farmer and carpenter, he had been employed at the Pennsylvania Turnpike for nine years. He was a veteran of World War II, serving with the U. S. Army.
