Mabel I. Martz, 91, of 10202 Waterfall Road, McConnellsburg, PA, died at 6:20 
a.m. Sunday, January 7, 2001, at the Fulton County Medical Center, 
McConnellsburg. 
Born in Licking Creek, Fulton County, PA, on December 18, 1909, she was the 
daughter of the late Roland and Mary (Sipes) Sharpe. She was a homemaker. 
She was the widow of W. Russell Martz, who passed away in 1964. 
She was a member of Sideling Hill Christian Church, Needmore, PA, and attended 
the Knobsville United Methodist Church, Knobsville, PA. She was an active 
member of the Cheerful Workers Club at the Knobs-ville United Methodist Church, 
Knobsville, PA. 
She is survived by four daughters: Marjorie McDivitt, Camp Hill, PA; Mary A. 
Largent, Pasadena, TX; Judy Peters, Reston, VA; Darlene King, Mechanicsburg, 
PA; three sons: John P. Martz, Chambersburg; Ronald A. Martz, San Diego, CA; W. 
Arnold Martz, Mechanicsburg, 16 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren. She 
was preceded in death by two daughters: Madeline E. McKenzie and Shirley P. 
Morelli, two sisters: Blanche Bard and Alda Mellott, and one brother, Roy 
Sharpe. 
A religious service will be held at the Sideling Hill Christian Church, 
Needmore, at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, January 10, 2001, with Pastor Brian Sweeney 
and Pastor William Swope officiating. 
Interment will be made in Sideling Hill Christian Cemetery, Needmore, PA. 
There will be visitation one hour before the service on Wednesday at the 
Sideling Hill Christian Church, Needmore, PA.
