(McConnellsburg, Pa.): September 21, 1899 Mrs. Sarah Pittman, relict of the late Jacob Pittman, of Thompson township, died, at her home near Hesses’ Mill, on Friday, September 8th, at the age of 66 years. For many years she had been a devout member of the Primitive Baptist church with that strong faith that robs death of its terrors. Funeral services were conducted at the late residence on the Sunday following by Elders Funk and Palmer, and her remains were laid to rest in the cemetery at Tonoloway, where a large number of friends witnessed the last sad rites. She leaves, of an immediate family, two daughters; Miss Emma and Mrs. Rhoda Gregory.
