Joseph “Bill” Price 12/12/00 

Shade Gap, 64 
Joseph “Bill” Price, 64, Shade Gap, died unexpectedly Wednesday, December 6, 
2000 at his home. 
Born December 12, 1935 in Shade Gap, he was the son of the late Joseph K. and 
Ruth Bard Price. 
He was a construction worker earlier in life, then owned and operated Sunny 
Ridge Restaurant in Shade Gap. He was a member of the Fair Ridge Assembly of 
God Church in Shade Gap. 
He was a member of the Gideons and earlier in life he was an avid hunter and 
fisherman. 
Surviving are a son, Joe Price, Shade Gap; two daughters: Rene (Mrs. Robert) 
Appleby, Shade Gap and Beth(Mrs. Jeffrey) Lerie, Neelyton; three brothers: 
Richard and Randy Price, both of Shade Gap and Gary Price of Orbisonia; six 
sisters: Glenda Price, Victoria Price, Susan Willis and Marlene Bowman of 
Patton, PA, all of Shade Gap; Sandy Hughes, Smyrna, TN and Jane Rinker, 
Orbisonia; five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. 
He was preceded in death by a sister. 
Funeral services were held at the Fair Ridge Assembly of God Church in Shade 
Gap Saturday, December 9 at 11:00 a.m. Burial was made in Fair Ridge Assembly 
of God Church in Shade Gap. Rev. Wilson Boyd officiated. 
The Kelso-Cornelius Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
