Spade Needmore 84 ___________ Veryl M. Spade, age 84, Needmore, PA., died Thursday, March 11, 2004, at Chambersburg Hospital in Chambersburg, PA. He was the son of the late Franklin Spade and Martha (Bard) Spade. He was married to Adrian (Deshong) Spade of Needmore for 66 years. He was a life long member of Ebenezer United Methodist Church where he served as superintendent for many years and currently was a trustee. He loved music and was a member of the choir. He was a devoted husband and a caring father and grandfather. He also enjoyed being a NASCAR fan, gardening, and mowing grass. He is survived by his wife Adrian Spade; three daughters: Phyllis (Dean) Truax of Needmore; Karen (Charles) Mehring of Keymar, MD.; Patty (John) Keefer of Needmore; two sons: Coy (Dorothy) Spade of Needmore; James (Dee Ann) Spade of Needmore; seven grandchildren: Lori, Deanna, Jill, Leslie, Amy, Sarah and Jamie; six great-grandchildren: Bethany, Matthew, Christopher, Conrad, Caitlin, and Noah and one sister Marie (Harry) Stryker of Fleming, N.J. He was preceded in death by his parents and one daughter, Betty Lou Fischer. Funeral services were held at Ebenezer United Methodist at 2: P.M., Sunday, March 14, 2004.
