Between Nathan DAVIS & Rebecca his wife of the County of Greene & State of Pennsylvania of the first part and John DAVIS of the same place of the second part. Witnesseth that the said party of the first part for and in consideration of the sum of five dollars to them in hand paid by the said party of the second part the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged have granted, bargained sold and quit claimed & by these presents do grant, bargain sell and quit claim unto the said party of the second part & to his heirs and assigns forever all the following described lot or parcell of lnd situate in Richhill township County & State aforesaid and bounded as follows. viz: Beginning at a post thence by land of CHESS North 94 1/7 perches to a post thence East 85 1/7 perches to a post thence South by land of Nathan DAVIS 94 1/7 perches to a post thence West 85? (and a sign I can't make out) perches to the place of beginning. Containing fifty acres more or less being a part of a tract of land called Abrahams post & connected to the grantor by Wm WOODVILLE & George COOK by Deed dated 9 day of April 1853. To Have and To Hold the above described lot or parcell of land unto the said party of the second part & to his heirs and assigns forever. In Testimony Whereof the parties of the first part have hereunto set their hands & seals the day & year above written. Attest. The said Rebeca being of full age and by me separate and apart from her s husband thereon privately examined & the contents of the above Indenture made known to her did say that she did voluntarily & of her own free will and accord sign & seal and as her act & deed deliver the same without any coercion or compulsion of her said husband. DEED: Book # not given-p. 112-113 recorded 22 May 1895, Greene County, PA from John DAVIS to Eli JACOBS: This Quit Claim made the tenth Day of December in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and thirty nine. between John DAVIS of the one part and Eli JACOBS. of the other part; both of Richhill Township, Greene County Pennsylvania Witnesseth that the said John DAVIS, for and in consideration of five hundred dollars, to him in hand paid by the said Eli JACOBS at and before the ensealing and delivery of these presents, the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged, hath granted and sold, released and quit claimed to the said Eli JACOBS, and to his heirs and assigns, part of a certain tract or parcel of land situate in Richhill township in County aforesaid On the waters of Wheeling Creek adjoining lands of said DAVIS, Amos HARTLY, Rezin WRIGHT, Cavalier POLAND and others beginning at a White Walnut being a corner of said DAVIS land thence North one hundred and thirty six perches to a stone pile by a spring, thence west by land of Rezin WRIGHT two hundred and seventy two perches to a dead White Oak: by lands of cavalier POLAND South one hundred and thirty six perches to a stone pile thence East two hundred and Seventy two perches to the place of beginning containing two hundred and eighteen acres and ni! neteen perches and the allowance. It being a part of a tract of land granted by the Commonwealth to the said DAVIS by warrant Dated on the eighth Day of March 1838. and by patent Dated the twentieth Day of May. In the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and thirty Nine. to have and to hold. the said tract or parcel of land and premises, with the appurtenances to the said Eli JACOBS: his heirs and assigns. to the only proper use and behoof of the said Eli JACOBS, his heirs and assigns forever from him the said John DAVIS his heirs and assigns forever. STAGGERS: THIS INDENTURE made this twenty third day of November in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and forty six Between John DAVIS of Richhill Township Greene County and State of Pennsylvania of the one part and Thomas and James STAGGERS of Jackson Township County and State aforesaid of the other part WHEREAS the said John DAVIS by an agreement in Parol contracted to convey unto the said Thomas & James STAGGERS a certain piece or parcel of land situted in Richhill Township in the County of Greene aforesaid bounded and described as follows to wit. Begining at a stone by a spring thence by lands of JACOBS & GRIM East one hundred and thirty six perches to a white Walnut thence by lands of Rezin WRIGHT South fifty four perches to a stake thence by lands of John DAVIS West one hundred and thirty six perches to a stone thence by lands of Henry JACOBS North fifty nine perches to the place of beginning Containing fifty acres and twenty four perches strict measure NOW THIS INDENTURE WITNESSETH that the said John DAVIS as aforesaid for and in consideration of the sum of one hundred and ten Dollars lawful money of Pennsylvania to him in hand paid the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged have granted bargant and sold and by these presents do grant bargain and sell and alien release and confirm unto the said Thomas & James STAGGERS their heirs and assigns all the foregoing fifty acres and twenty four perches of land with the appurtenances It being a part of a tract of land granted by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania to John DAVIS by Patent being dated the twentieth day of May in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and thirty nine and Enrolled in Patent Book H Vol. 41 Page 86 Together with all and singular the improvements rights priviledges hereditaments and appurtenances thereunto belonging or in any wise appertaining TO HAVE AND TO HOLD the aforesaid mentioned and described tract of land and premises with the appurtenances unto the said Thomas & James STAGGERS there heirs and assigns to and for there proper use benefit and behoof forever.
