We encourage links to the state and county table of contents. ____________________________________ Deed Book 1, pages 91 & 92 Greene County, PA Bill of sale Daniel Anderson to David Donham Know all Men by these Presents that I Daniel Anderson hath sold and made over a certain brook or peace of Land unto John Burns it being a part of the home place lying on the east end of sd back of Land containing less or more acres for which sd Anderson and Burns hath made agreaed Lines beginning at the mouth of a Run at the lower end of sd Anderson's bottom field and then up sd Run hill oppisit to the lower end of sd Burns old field then from the Run with a streaight course to a white oak at or over sd old field then to a poplar and then to a white oak and then to a large Chesnut where it joins the lines between sd Anderson and George Lelser and with sd Line to a stake and then to smal Chestnut then to a Servicebery then to a Spruss then to the mouth of sd Run above mensioned as agreaed. Whereas, sd Anderson doth bind himself his heirs or assigns to warrant and defend and make suffisient Deed for the sd brook or peace of Land unto David Dunham or his heirs and assigns forever against the first day of May next. Given under my hand and seal this twenty ninth day of january 1794. Daniel Anderson--his mark Witness present Sarah Anderson Jean Anderson--her mark Indorsement by the Court The within Contract proved to the satisfaction of the Court by the Oath of sarah Anderson, Jean Anderson the other subscribing Witness being near seventy years of age unable to rede and residing seventeen miles from Waynesburgh. Recorded 4th April 1797 Examd John Boreman Recorder _________________________________ Deed Book 2, page 759 Whereas my former husband Daniel Anderson did sell unto David Dunham a certain piece or parcel of land situate on Dunkard creek in Dunkard township, Greene County Penna; containing eighty five acres and one half. And Whereas I the said wife of the said Daniel Anderson did not join with my husband in said sale, whereby I might in Law be entitled to Dower, all which will fully appear by having reference to the evidence of said sale dated ninth day of January in the year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred and ninety four and recorded in the Recorder's office of Greene County aforesaid in Book A. Vol 1 pages 91 & 92; And Whereas my said husband having recieved a full and valuable considerationtherefor, whence it would be unjust and unreasonable that the said David should pay any thing more for said land; Now Know All Men By These Presents that we Anthony Asher and Elizabeth Asher, which Elizabeth was the wife of Daniel Anderson deceased, for and in consideration of the premisses above stated, and for and in consideration of one dollar to us in hand paid by the said David Dunham, have granted bargained and sold, and by these presents DO grant, bargain and sell unto the said David Dunham all our right, title, interest, claim and demand in and to said tract or parcel of land, and especially any right of Dower which the said Elizabeth might have had or has in and to be said land. To Have And To Hold the said tract or parcel of land, hereditaments and premisses hereby granted or mentioned or intended so to be with the apputtenances unto David Dunham, his heirs and assigns, to and for their only proper use, benefit and behoof forever. In Testimony Whereof we have hereunto set our hands and seals the eighteenth day of May one thousand eight hundred and thirteen.
