Deed Book 9, page 429 George Yeager to John Donham THIS INDENTURE, made this sixth day of December in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and forty one, Between GEORGE YEAGER and Rhoda his wife of the town of Greensboro Greene County Pennsylvania, of the one part, and JOHN DONHAM of Monongahela Township, in the County and State aforesaid, of the other part. WITNESSETH, that the said George Yeager and Rhoda his wife, for and in consdideration of the sum of nine hundred and sixty dollars, to them in hand paid by the said John Donham, at and before ensealing and delivering hereof, the receipt whereof they do hereby acknowledge, and thereof acquit and forever discharge the said John Donham, his heirs, executors and administrators by these presents, have granted bargained and sold aliened, released and confirmed, and by these presents do grant, bargain, sell, release, convey and confirm unto the said John Donham and to his heirs and assigns, part, of a tract of land called "VERMONT" patented by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, unto John Rutter on the 23rd day of April 1793, who bequeathed the same to his son John by last will and testament dated 24th of March 1807, who by deed dated 22nd day of October 1814, conveyed the same to the said George Yeager situate in the Township of Monongahela aforesaid on a run which empties into the Monongahela River, near the steam saw mill, erected by Aron Stone. BEGINNING at a white oak at B.F.Black, corner then by other lands of said Donham with eighty seven degrees West sixty two perches to a post, then by land of Evan Evans, South thirty two degrees East one hundred and twenty three perches to a gum, then by land of Aron Stone north fourteen degrees East, one hundred and sixty eight perches to a post then by land of Benjamin F. Black, South thirty five degrees West, seventy six perches to the Beginning, containing thirty two acres of land be the same more or less. with the allowance of six per cent, for roads & c. TOGETHER with all and singular the houses, buildings, barns, stables, woods, ways, waters, watercourses, rights, liberties, privileges hereditaments and appurtenances whatsoever thereunto belonging, or in any wise appertaining and the reversions and remainders, rents issues and profits thereof, and also all the estate, right, title, interest and claim property and demand whatsoever of them the said George Yeager, and Rhoda his wife, in law, or equity, or otherwise however, of, in to or out of the same. TO HAVE AND TO HOLD the said messauge or tract of Thirty two acres be the same more or less, with the allowance of six per cent, hereditaments or premises hereby granted or mentioned or intended so to be, with appurtenances, unto the said John Donham, his heirs and assigns to the only proper use and benefit of the said John Donham his heirs and assigns forever. AND the said George Yeager and Rhoda his wife for themselves, their heirs executors and administrators hereby covenants and agrees with the said John Donham his heirs and assigns to warrant, and defend the title to the said tract or parcel of thirty two acres of land and allowances of six per cent be the same more or less, with the appurtenances free from all persons and lawful claims whatsoever. George Yeager Rhoda Yeager Signes Sealed and Delivered in the presence of George Higinbotham Alfred Yeager STATE OF PENNSYLVANIA GREENE COUNTY SS Personally appeared before me the subscriber a Justice of the peace in and for said County George Yeager and Rhoda his wife, the grantors named in the within instrument of writing, and acknowledged the same to be their act and deed for the use and purposes therein mentioned, the said Rhoda having been by me first examined seperate and apart from her husband, the contents thereof fully made known to her by me, she voluntarily consenting thereto.
