Deed Book 4, page 285 Abraham Williams to Lewis Donham This Indenture made the twenty fifth day of December in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred & nineteen. Between Abraham Williams and Sarah his wife of Greene County & State of Pennsylvania of the one part and Lewis Donham of the County and State aforesaid of the other part. Witnesseth That for and in consideration of the sum of three hundred and fifty dollars to them in hand paid the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged. The said Abraham Williams & Sarah his wife have granted & sold and by these presents do grant, bargain, Sell, alein and confirm unto the said Lewis Donham his heirs and assigns, a certain piece or parcel of ground composed of three lots to wit No. 2 , 3 & 4 the said lots being a part of eight lots taken from George Debolt plantation and laid out by him the sd Debolt called Mechanicks square. The said lot No two conveyed by George Debolt to Ezra Engles, conveyed by sd E. Engles & wife to Zadoc Dougherty by deed bearing date February seventh one thousand eight hundred & fifteen said lot No 2 being situated as follows viz: Beginning at a post, corner of No 1 now in posession of David Scott thence along the main road leading to Greensburgh south eighty six and a half degrees east four perches and five links to a post thence along to No 3 North three and an half degrees west four perches & five tneths to a post. Thence along an alley ten feet wide granted by George Debolt for the use of the owners of the eight lots composing Mechanicks Square North eighty six and a half degrees west to a post corner of lot No 1 four perches & five tenths thence along said lot No 1 south three and an half degrees west four perches & five tenths to the place of beginning. Lot No 3 conveyed by said Debolt to David Shepard by deed bearing date February twenty sixth one thousand eight hundred & thirteen conveyed by sd Shepard to Robt. Mapel by deed bearing date Aprilfifth one thousand eight hundred & fourteen and conveyed by said Robt. Mapel to Abraham Williams by deed bearing date December twenty fifth one thousand eight hundred & nineteen. Lot No 4 conveyed by George Debolt to John Shank & from John Shank to Abraham Williams by deed bearing date December ninth Eighteen hundred &sixteen. The said two last described lots No 3 & 4 being the same size with paralel lines laying and adjoining lot No 2 on the east side. Thw whole three before described lots containing in the sixty perches and three fourths of a perch Now we Abraham Williams and sarah his wife for our own selves, our heirs executors, administrators, or assigns do grant forever the aforesaid lots or parcel of ground and all the appurtenances thereunto belonging to Lewis Donham his heirs or assigns and will forever maintain and defend it against any person or persons whatsoever to the only use and behalf of the said Lewis Donham his heirs and assigns forever. Dec 27th A.D. 1819 Then personally came before me Jacob Black one of the Justices of the peace in and for the County aforsd Abraham Williams and Sarah his wife and acknowledged the within Indenture to be there act and deed and for the use therein mentioned and Sayeth that the same may be recorded as such Sarah the wife being first Examned by me as the Law derects.
