Deed Book 19, page 430 Greene County, PA Francis M. Hull and Margaret to William Ashbrook THIS INDENTURE, made the 24 of April 1863 between Francis M. Hull and Margaret his wife of Richhill township, Greene County, and State of Pennsylvania of the one part and William Ashbrook of the same place of the other part, WITNESSETH that the said Francis M. Hull & Margaret Jane his wife for and in consideration of the sum of six hundred and eighteen dollars and forty five cents, lawful money of the United States unto them well and truly paid by the said William Ashbrook at and before the Sealing and delivery of these presents the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged have granted, bargained, sold, and by these presents do grant, bargain, sell, alien, enfeoff, release, and confirm unto the said William Ashbrook his heirs assigns all the following described real estate, viz. Beginning at a stone thence by land of William Ashbrook North three & one fourth degrees East one hundred perches to a stone by Spring, thence by land of Reason Wright North one and three fourth degrees West seventy perches to a stone, thence by land of Elias Headly south three & one fourth degrees West eighty two and four tenth perches to a stone, thence by land of F. M. Hull seventy five and one half degrees East seventy and one tenth perches to place of beginning containing thirty nine acres three roads and twenty four perches, it being a part of a tract of land granted by the commonwealth of Pennsylvania to Jehu Davis by Patent dated the 20 day of May 1839 warranted to said Davis March the 8th, 1838 conveyed from him to Christopher Grim from said Grim to Jacob Adams from said Adams to F. M. Hull. TOGETHER WITH ALL THE SINGULAR the buildings and improvements, rights, privileges, hereditaments and appurtenances thereunto belonging or in anywise appertaining. TO HAVE AND TO HOLD the before mentioned land and premises hereby granted unto the said William Ashbrook his heirs and assigns to and for his and their own proper use and benefit & behoof forever. And the said Frances M. Hull and Margaret Jane his wife for themselves their heirs, executors, and administrators does hereby covenant, grant and agree to and with the said party of the second part his heirs and assigns the before mentioned and granted premises and every part thereof to warrant and forever defend from persons lawfully claiming and to claim the same. IN WITNESS WHEREOF the parties of the first part have hereunto set their hands and seals the day and year first herein written. Sealed and delivered in presence of J. T. Elbin Francis M. Hull (L. S.) Margaret Jane Hull (L. S.) STATE OF PENNSYLVANIA GREENE COUNT SS: Before me the undersigned a Justice of the Peace in & for said county personally came Francis M. Hull & Margaret Jane his wife and acknowledged the above Indenture to be their act and deed and desire that the same might be recorded as such. She the said Margaret Jane being by me examined separate and apart from her said husband and having the nature and contents of the foregoing deed fully made known declared that she signed sealed and delivered the same of her own free will and accord and without any coercion or compulsion on the part of her said husband.
