I have capitalized the surnames for ease in a quick look (except for the first mention of Noah and Peter in which all of both names were already capitalized). At the top of this paper someone wrote, "This agreement takes the place of a will for this family". From: Register and Recorder Office Greene Co, PA. Book # not given, page 312: February the 25, 1841, an Article of an agreement made and agreed to by NOAH LYON of the one part and PETER LYON of the other part all of Richhill Township Greene County Pennsylvania, the said Noah LYON doth bargain and sell to the said Peter LYON a sertain tract of land lying and being in Richhill township Greene County Pennsylvania, bounded as follows: BOUNDED by the land of John McGLUMPHY on the East by land of Amos PAYNE on the South by land of Jesse PETTIT on the North by land of Charles BOND on the west containing two hundred and fifteen acres strict measure and also three head of horses two Grays and a bay, also four head of cows three head young cattle fourteen head of young hogs and also all farming utential and one small wagon and all the grain on the premises one brass clock and case and all the outstanding debts and also a brown mare and two sets of harness the said Peter LYON to have possession of this land and above described property from this date in consideration whereof the said Peter LYON doth bind himself his attorney executors or administrators or assigns to keep the said Noah LYON and his wife Elizabeth LYON in food and Rament and comfortable dwelling for durin life the said Peter LYON is to pay the balance of the money on the said land and is to have the deed maid in his name the said Peter LYON is to pay John LYON one hundred and fifty dollars when he is twenty one years of age and each one of the rest of the heirs which is six one hundred dollars each as they come of age.
