Son of late George M. Roberts and Sarah Jane Foster Roberts. He was born March 2, 
1887 in Jefferson Township. Surviving spouse (at the time of his passing)Rachael 
Elizabeth Cooley Roberts. Surviving children (at the time of his passing):Mrs 
Lauretta Kojundic, Mrs Sarah Jamieson Cosil, Mrs. Kathryn Papson, Mrs. Erma Kuzio, 
Mrs. Elva Adams Rolnik, Mrs. Wilma Opfer, Mrs. Ruth Bodnar, Mrs. Malinda Chomas, 
Robert C. Roberts, John H. Roberts. Predeceased children were: Fred Roberts Jr, 
David Charles Roberts, and James Martin Roberts. Siblings were: Mrs. Lavina Adams, 
Mrs. Sarah Swisher, Mrs. Rebecca Marcentile, Charles R. Roberts, Harvey T. Foster 
Sr, Joseph Foster Jr, Zene Roberts, Mary Roberts, Kate Roberts. Predeceased 
siblings Theodore Foster. 

Additional Comments:
Fred was my great grandfather and believed to be an Indian. He lived in Elizabeth, 
Blaine Hill, and West Elizabeth areas. He was a mate on J. and L. Steel Co. river 
towboats.
