Betty Yvonne Shoaf, aged 18, daughter of Clarence M. and Edna Graham
Shoaf, of Carmichaels, Greene county, died Monday afternoon, August
17, 1931, in the Uniontown Hospital, of complications. Miss Shoaf was
a senior in the Cumberland Township High school, Carmichaels, and a
member of the girls' basketball team of that school. She was born in
Fairmont, W. Va., having gone to Carmichaels two years ago when her
family moved there from the West Virginia city. In addition to her
parents, one brother, Verne Shoaf, at home, also survives. Funeral
services will be solemnized Wednesday afternoon at 1 o'clock in the
First Presbyterian church, Carmichaels, in charge of the pastor, Rev.
John O. Miller.  Burial will be at Tarr, Westmoreland county. Miss
Shoaf was a member of the Methodist church, Point Marion.
