Carmel Cemetery Mrs. Bessie May Burge Staley, aged 46 years, wife of John A. Staley, of Mt. Carmel Ridge, near Woodruff, W. Va., died at her home Wednesday, March 19, 1947, after a short ilness. She was born April 27, 1900, in Springhill Township, Greene County, a daughter of Frank and Anna Henry Burge, who survive. She had spent most of her life in Springhill Township. Surviving besides her husband and parents are two daughters, Mrs. Elmer Yoss, at home, and Mrs. Raymond Burris, Woodruff, W. Va., a step-son, Luke Staley, of R. D. 1, Fairmont, W. Va., and three half-brothers, Howard Ashby, Harrisville, Ohio; Leslie Ashby and Albers Ashby, both of Wheeling. There are four grandchildren living. She was a member ofthe Mr. Carmel Church of God.
