Henry L. Durr, a well known resident of Cumberland township, died Saturday morning, September 27. He was 74 years pf age amd had been ill but a few days. Many of his neighbors did not know of his illness. Death was the result of a complication of diseases. The funeral was held Monday from his late residence. The funeral services were conducted by the Rev. L. M. Kumler, pastor of the New Providence Presbyterian church. Interment was in the Glades cemetery. Mr. Durr was a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. David Durr and was born in West Virginia, March 22, 1839. He was the last of a family of nine children. He was married December 20, 1888, to Miss Mary Flenniken, who survives. To this union was born one son, William Henry Durr, who also survives. In July, 1864, Mr. Durr united with the New Providence Presbyterian church. (note: cemetery book puts year as 1913)
