I Henry HEWIT of the township of Aleppo in the County of Greene and State of Penna. Farmer being in good health of body and of sound and disposing mind and memory do make and declare this to be my will and testament in manner following that is to say, I order that all my Just debts funeral Expenses and charges of the proving of this my will be in the first place fully paid and satisfied and after payment thereof and Every part thereof I give and bequeath unto my four sons Jacob Isaac John and Peter the tract of land on which I live in fee simple to them and their heirs forever containing four hundred acres More or less, be divided at Right angles in four equal parts Jacob to have the South West Corner on which he lives Isaac to have the South East corner and Peter to have the North East Corner and John to have the North West corner on which I now live John to have his part free and clear of all incumbrance The other three mentioned Sons being Jacob Isaac Peter to pay to my other heirs being Delilah intermarried with John KINESTRICK Sarah intermarried with Phillip BARNEY and Rebecca intermarried with Monroe WHITE Levi HEWIT Samuel HEWIT and James L (or Q) HEWIT the sum of twelve hundred dollars in the following manner One year after my decease due Third and the remainder in two equal annual payments to be divided as follows to Each of my sons two hundred and fifty dollars and to each of my daughters one hundred and fifty dollars if any of my heirs should not be of sufficient age to receive their share or shares at my decease I allow Their Share to be put to interest and paid over to them when they arrive at the age of twenty one years. It is further my will that my son John Shall have the use of all my moveable property during my natural life and should my wife Elizabeth survive me he shall return said property until one year after her decease and there to pay over to my other named heirs the amount of an appraisement of said property agreeable to an article Dated 24 January A.D. 1854 And I do hereby Nominate Constitute and appoint my son John HEWIT and my Soninlaw Monroe WHITE both of Aleppo township in sd County, my Executors of this my last Will, hereby revoking and making void all former and other Wills by me at any time heretofore made and declare this to be my Last Will and testament in witness whereof I the said testator have to this my last will and testament set my han and seal, The 31st day of January A.D. 1854 Henry HEWIT(seal) Signed Sealed and delivered by the __ as for his last will and testament in the presence of us who in his presence and at his request and in the presence of each other have subscribed our names as Witnesses thereto. PARKINSON Two of the Subscribing witnesses to the foregoing instrument of writing and after being duly Affirmed acccording to law, deposeth and saith that they were present, saw and heard The testator Henry HEWIT sign, for his last will and testament, and That at the time of his so doing he was of sound and disposing mind memory and understanding to the best of their knowledge observation and belief and that They signed The same as subscribing witnesses at The testators request and in his presence and in the presence of each other.
