Long left the following will: I, James Long of Cumberland Township, Greene County, Pa. being of sound mind and memory do make and declare this to be my last will and testament, hereby revoking all former wills made by me. First: I direct my executor hereinafter named to collect all claims due to me, and from the proceeds of the same, and of my personal property to pay all my just debts and funeral expenses; Second: I direct my executor to sell, as soon as he can, the eight acres of land I own in Madison County, in the state of Iowa, and I do hereby give my executor full power and authority to sell the same either at public or private sale, as he shall deem best for my estate and to make deed in fee simple for the same; Third: I hereby give and bequeath to my Leonidas the sum of one hundred dollars to be paid, expended in his support and maintenance, if necessary, and direct the same to be paid in four equal annual payments after my decease; Fourth: I give and bequeath to my daughter Osceola the sum of one hundred and twenty five dollars to be expended in her support and maintenance, if neccessary, and direct the same to be paid in five equal annual payments after my decease; Fifth: All the rest and residue of my property, real, personal and mixed, and wherever situated, I hereby give, devise, and bequeath to all my children, share and share alike, subject to the state right and interest of my wife under the intestate laws of the Commonwealth; Lastly, I nominate, constitute and appoint Daniel (Craig) Stephenson, my son-in-law (husband of his oldest daughter, Margaret Ellen) to be the executor of this my last will and testament. In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal this eighth day of April A. D. 1880, signed and delivered by the testator to be his last will and testament in our presence and we hereby subscribe our names as witnesses thereof, at his request and in his presence and in the presence of each other.
