APPLEBY Mount Union, Pa. Druggist: Born at Decorum, Huntingdon Co., Pa. A son of T. B. Appleby, of Decorum, a farmer for practically all his life. Owns two farms. Married to Margaret Peterson. Died Sept., 1928, aged fifty-nine years. Both were Presbyterians. Fred B. Appleby completed the school course at Decorum, graduated at Mount Union High School, Class of 1921, attended the Philadelphia College of Pharmacy, graduated class of 1925. Did clerical work at Philadelphia, Pa., in drug stores for four years. Bought the drug establishment of E. M. France at Mount Union, Pa. on March 9th, 1929. This business is now known as Appleby's Drug Store, centrally located, and now as in the past caters to a large patronage. Mr. and Mrs. Appleby attend the Presbyterian Church. His college fraternity is Kappi Psi; is also a member of the Country Club, Mount Union, Pa.; also the Mount Union Club. A Republican in politics. Has one brother, Lorraine, at home. Mr. Appleby was married to Ethel Workman, daughter of Charles and Catharine Workman, of Pottsville, Pa. Both are deceased. They have one daughter, Margaret Catharine, aged fifteen months. Hunting and fishing are his favorite sports. Mr. Appleby, since locating at Mount Union, has won the respect and esteem of a host of friends through his methods of conducting business and his efforts to please the public.
