Merchant, Lunch and Service Station: Born July 6, 1877, in Clearfield County, Pa. A son of John Blowers, who died in 1903, at the age of forty-six years, and of Christine (Stellar) Blowers, residing at Tyrone, Blair County, Pa. He received his introductory education at Sandy Ridge. He followed up various lines of employment, lumber business, a foreman, paper mill, Tyrone, Pa., a woods foreman, at Steel Mill, Steubensville, Ohio. He succeeded Sam Croyle in the mercantile business at Neff's Mills in 1925. Has a restaurant, mercantile, and service station. He has served on election boards at Neff's Mills, Huntingdon County, Pa. Formerly a member of the Reliance Fire Company, Philipsburg, Pa. One brother, Russell, is married to Grace Mannie, Tyrone, Pa.; two brothers are deceased. George died at the age of nineteen years, Hiram died at the age of fifty-one years. Grant William Blowers was married to Susan Conway, of Philipsburg, Pa. The following are the sons and daughters: Three children's birthdays come in August: Marie C., at the age of nineteen years. Hiram died at Granville, Kahryn [Kathryn] C., John R. and Andrew C. Mr. Blowers, by looking after the wants of his patrons, has built up an increasing business.
