Service Station: A young man, fast coming to the front in the business world, is Hayes Harrison Chilcoat, one of the popular proprietors of the Orbisonia Filling Station. Mr. Chilcoat was born at Rockhill, Pa., and at the Rockhill Normal School had his first insight into the rudiments of an education. Abram Chilcoat is his father, and his mother's name before marriage was Nina Madden, of German-Dutch extraction. Both are living at Rockhill. Hayes Chilcoat previously was a machinist with the E.B.T.R.R. Co. At present, in conjunction with his brother, they operate a service station at the entrance of Orbisonia. A general line of accessories, gas, oils, tubes, confectionery, etc., is carried in stock, at all times. Mr. Chilcoat is a member of the Methodist church and attends Sunday School. Is a member of the I.O.O.F. of Orbisonia, Pa. A Republican. Has two brothers: Orville T., associated with him in this business; A. Ward, teller of the First National Bank, Orbisonia, Pa. One sister, Erma, at school. Hayes Chilcoat is a member of the Chamber of Commerce, and delights in playing base ball. Attention to the wants of his patrons has resulted in the building up of a large and prosperous business.
