Huntingdon, Pa. County Farm Agent: One who has made a study of agriculture and farm conditions. The soil and that which has to do for the betterment of the farmer is the County Farm Agent, represented in this county by Mr. Robert Samuel Clark. Mr. Clark was born in Quakertown, Bucks County, Pa., Sept. 3rd, 1896. His early schooling he received at Haycock Township Grade School, and also at the Richland High School. His father, David M. Clark, was married to Anna Bean in 1872. She is now deceased. Dairy farming was his specialty; of German Welsh descent. Mr. Robert Clark has been County Farm Agent since graduation at Penn State College, from which he received the degree of B.S. All phases of agriculture he mastered at State College, devoting his time to the rudiments and all that would assist him in after life to carry on his profession to a successful conclusion. In 1924 the University of Minnesota conferred upon him the degree of M.S. Mr. Clark is a member of the Huntingdon County Grange, better known as Patrons of Husbandry, of which he takes an active part in its affairs. In politics a Republican, firm in its belief. During his college days he was to be found in the wrestling squad, which is his favorite sport. He has seven sisters and three brothers. One brother and one sister deceased. Two brothers are in the ministry of the Reformed Church. He was married to Catharine Black, of Alexandria, Pa. Two children, Dorothy, three years of age, and Harold, one year. A close application to the farmers' needs and desires has made him very popular, and he has at all times tracts, leaflets and pamphlets covering all lines of agriculture, dairying, etc. He is a member of the Reformed Church; also a deacon. Was Scoutmaster of Troop No. 6 and has been a teacher of the Sunday School for ten years. Truly a well spent life to the devotion of his profession.
