Cashier First National Bank, Three Springs: Was born in Springfield Township, July 12, 1861. Was born on a farm, and helped at all kinds of farm work. Attended schools of Springfield Township, Huntingdon County, Pa. A son of Jeremiah Morris Cutshall, who died in 1909, and of Mary Ann (Brown) Cutshall, who died in 1897. Allen Cutshall attended Milnwood Academy, at Shade Gap, Huntingdon County, Pa., a well known institution in its day. Taught school for two winters, two years in Cromwell Township and four months in Clay Township. Has been a farmer for two years, in the mercantile business for nineteen years, and a huckster for ten years. At present is cashier and director; also one of the incorporators of the First National Bank of Three Springs, Pa., which first opened its doors on August 1, 1912. Both he and his wife belong to the Methodist Church, he being a Steward. For years was a Councilman of Three Springs, Pa. Belongs to the Masonic fraternity, Cromwell Lodge NO. 572, Orbisonia; a Shriner, Jaffa Temple, Altoona, Pa.; I.O.O.F., 790, Three Springs; P.O.S. of A. Camp, 512, Three Springs. A Republican. Has two brothers living: Peter B., in the Compensation Department, Harrisburg, Pa.; Allen F., a farmer, Three Springs. Three brothers are deceased: Jerry B., Horatio G., and Charles, who died in infancy. Three sisters are deceased: Rachel, two years; Alice V. and Laura B. He married Hester Anna Davis, who died in 1923. Remarried to Lucy Peightal. Children are: Mahlon H., attending High School at Mt. Union, Pa.; Lois at home, at school, as is also Donald Nelson, aged ten years.
