Contractor and Supervising Contractor: Was born at East Stroudsburg, Monroe County, Pa., February 2, 1892. School training at Stroudsburg, near the above named place. A self-instructed man. For three years was self- instructed in architecture. Made a study of construction in all its branches, estimating, specifications, designing, planning, etc. A son of Jerome Z. Daily, retired, and Martha (Lesh) Daily. Both are living at Clark's Summit, Lackawanna County, Pa. Building construction he has followed all his life. Has supervised erection of the following buildings at Mount Union, Pa.: Saxe Bldg., 1916; Wiley Bldg.; the Appleby Store and Apartment; Abrashoff Bldg.; Greek Catholic Church; Romanian Hall. Supervised construction of Huntingdon Country Club and Juniata Valley Country Club. He supervised the creation of the town of Kistler, Mifflin County, Pa, 1916-17. Robertsdale High School and Saltillo High School; Granville School, Mifflin County, Pa.; the Mission Home at Huntingdon, Pa. Supervised construction and remodeling of the Saxe Bldg. for the Grant Company, a chain store enterprise. Mr. Daily was Assistant Superintendent of the Government plant, Mount Union; now at State College, Pa., supervisor of maintenance and repairs, a lucrative position. A Republican in politics. Has two sisters: Mrs. Bessie Clark and Mrs. Marshall Singer. Was married to Emily Ruth Carey, of Wilkes-Barre, Pa. They have one son, Harry, Jr., two years. Four daughters: Edith Ruth, twelve; Phyllis, seven, at school; Dorothy, five, and Miriam, three, at home. He is a member of the Country Club. Mr. Daily is deserving of much credit for the improvement of his efforts and intellect in this his chosen work. Has traveled extensively. For seven months supervising construction work in Florida.
