David's Service Station: Abraham Lincoln David was born at Newberg, Pa., December 13, 1860. A son of Amandus and Rachel (Pheasant) David. The father of German descent. The mother of American descent; both are deceased. Abraham David received a preliminary education at Newberg, at the grade schools. From 1880 to 1920 he was engaged in farming, marking forty years of tilling the soil, he being very proficient in this line. At present he conducts a service station at Mill Creek, Pa., selling of gasoline, oils, confectionery, tobacco, cigars, etc. He has held the office of Supervisor of Brady and Juniata townships. A Councilman of Mill Creek borough. A Trustee and Steward in the Methodist Episcopal Church, and Sunday School pupil. He has also served on the election board. A Republican in politics. His brothers are: Samuel, of Winfield, Kansas; George, Miller Township, Huntingdon County, Pa.; Benjamin Jacob, Christian and F. D. David are deceased. Sisters are: Catharine, at Colfax, Huntingdon County, Pa.; Emma, Alexandria, Pa. Abraham David was married to Anne E. Bush. The children are: Rose Mae, Rachel Catharine, Daisy, Richard, John, Earl, Mill Creek, Pa.; Clair Vance, at home. The following are deceased; Cloyd Harper, George Clarence and Chester. Mr. David enjoys a lucrative business which comes from tourists and the general public. In connection he also does repairing of all kinds on short notice.
