Foreman: Joseph Edward Dysart comes from that strong, sturdy Scotch-Irish ancestry, of whom there are legions. Seventy-two summers and winters has he beheld the light of day. A well preserved man, He was born in Wayne Township, Mifflin County, Pa., April 30, 1858. James Dysart, his father, resided in Wayne Township, Mifflin County, Pa. and married Delia Fike; both are deceased. Joseph Dysart has been many years a foreman at the Columbia Plant of the Pennsylvania Glass Sand Company of Mapleton, Pa. His knowledge of this business is extensive, he being experienced in all branches of this character of manufacture. His home is in Mapleton, Pa. For two years he served on the election board, and is a progressive Republican, a member of the I.O.O.F. Mountain City Lodge, No. 837. A member of the Presbyterian Church, an Elder, Superintendent of Sunday School and teacher of the Bible Class. He was married to Bertha McConahy. Have seven children: James, Leroy, Chas. W., J. Stewart, Paul, and Beulah. Louis C. Dysart is an officer in the Ordnance Department, Government Service. Mr. Dysart has certainly earned the respect of his workmen and also of the place where he resides.
