E. ELLENBERGER Warriorsmark, Pa. Lumber Dealer: Born at Maringo, Centre County, on June 22, 1889, remembered as the day of the greatest catastrophe that this country has witnessed, the Johnstown flood. He was born on a farm, a son of George W. Ellenberger, a farmer all his life. Had a farm of 167 acres; now deceased, at the age of sixty-three years. His wife before her marriage was Barbara Rider, who died in 1903, at the age of forty-seven years. James Ellenberger, a brother of George W., was a Civil War veteran. E. E. Ellenberger began his schooling at the Maringo School, followed by attending summer school at Pine Grove, and later at he Port Matilda School, and for a term at Juniata College. On account of sickness he was compelled to relinquish further study. For twenty years he has been engaged in the lumber business. He has two saw mills, and supplies rough lumber in any reasonable quantity. He is also engaged at farming. At present is on the school board. A Republican in politics. A Methodist, a trustee; his wife is also a member. He has one brother, Arthur S., of State College, a retired farmer. E. E. Ellenberger was married to Edna P. Gray, a daughter of S. B. and Mary Gray. Both are living at Warriorsmark, Pa. Mr. and Mrs. Ellenberger have four sons: Robert, sixteen years of age, a Freshman in the High School, Warriorsmark, Pa.; Lee, fourteen years, a Freshman in the High School; will graduate in Class of 1930. Mr. Ellenberger is one of Warriorsmark's leading business men, and owns a beautiful home. Note: First name from 1930 and 1920 Huntingdon county census.
