ENDRES Huntingdon, Pa. Groceries and Provisions: Was born near Union Church, Huntingdon Co., Pa., in 1901, and at the Union school, Henderson township, he received his preliminary education. A son of Miles and Mollie (Grove) Endres, living at 927 Mifflin St., Huntingdon, Pa. John W. Endres was reared and brought up in the atmosphere of a Christian home, and to-day he has not departed from the faith of his parents. At the present he is engaged in the grocery and provision business, at the corner of Washington and Mifflin streets. Through his straightforward methods of conducting his business he has been enabled to enlist the confidence of the public. He is Superintendent of the Sunday School at Ardenheim, Huntingdon County, Pa.; assistant pastor. His wife and family also attend the Brethren Church. He belongs to the Modern Woodmen of American, Huntingdon, Pa., and in politics is a Republican. His brothers are: Clair, a farmer; Earl, Lutheran minister at Howard Beach, Long Island, N.Y.; Lloyd, Huntingdon, Pa.; Miles, clerk in store; James, Huntingdon, Pa. There are three sisters: Marian, Huntingdon, Pa.; May, Altoona, Pa., and Hazel, Huntingdon, Pa. John W. Endres was married to Pauline Rupert, a daughter of Howard and Lydia Rupert. One son, Donald, eight years, at school, and Janet, four years. He is a man of excellent character and manly habits, love of the truth, sobriety, industry, economy, integrity and peace.
