E. EVERETT Mount Union, Pa. Merchant: Born at Aughwick Mills, on Sept. 10, 1870, a son of Moses Everett, who was born on a farm in Franklin Co., Pa., and was for a time a farmer. For thirty years with the mercantile establishment of Robert Longacre, Mount Union, Pa. He died Dec. 12, 1924. His wife was, before marriage, Maggie B. Shearer. She was born at Spring Run, Franklin Co., Pa.; deceased, aged seventy-nine years. John E. Everett began his schooling at Fannettsburg, Franklin, Co., Pa. He also attended the schools of Aughwick township and the Chestnut Grove school, Shirley township. For five years he was with the Mount Union Milling Co., operated by the late J. E. Ewing, and for six years was with the Mount Union Silica Brick Co. At present is in the mercantile business; has been in this business for ten years, at two different locations, on Jefferson St., Mount Union, Pa. He belongs to the Presbyterian church; his wife also. He is a Republican. He has five sisters: Jennie, married to H. O. Chilcott, Mount Union, Pa.; Edith, married to O. S. Copenhaver, Shirley township; are living. Three sisters are deceased: Clara, who was married to Thomas Ripple; Annie, who was married to Wm. Snyder; and Sadie, who was married to John Rummel. John E. Everett was married to Mary De Haven, of Newville, Cumberland Co., Pa. To this union was born a daughter, Sadie. She was married to T. R. Archey, on the office force of the U.S. Ref. Co., Mount Union, Pa. They have two sons: Roy, first year at school; Kenneth, four years. Fred, a son of Mr. and Mrs. J. E. Everett, was married to Mary Appleby. He is an auto mechanic for the R. B. Madden Co., Mount Union, Pa. They have two daughters, Louise, three years of age; Betty Jane, four months. The Everetts live at 421 Jefferson Street.
