Orbisonia Roller Mills: John Boyd Ewing was born at Mount Union, Pa., July 24, 1899. His early schooling was attained at Orbisonia, Pa. His mother before her marriage was Margaret Garver; the father was J. Banks Ewing, a well known man. He conducted a flour mill at this same location for twenty- two years, of Scotch-Irish extraction. From 1918 to 1921, John Ewing attended Dickinson Commercial Seminary. Has one brother, George E., a farmer, who operates a farm adjoining Orbisonia. One sister, Mrs. Anna Bollinger, Lewistown, Pa. He belongs to Camp 374, P.O.S. of A., and the I.O.O.F., No. 640, having served in all its local offices. Is a Democrat in politics. He was married to Margaret H. Wilson, and they have two sons: Wilson Max and John Boyd, Jr. At present he is proprietor of the Orbisonia Roller Mills. Its products are of a superior quality, and for years it has maintained a high standard; shipments are made to all parts as well as to the local trade. The mill is equipped with all the latest equipments. Mr. Ewing has succeeded in business through a desire to please his many patrons. For many years this mill has served its purpose and continues to turn out its products, covering a large territory.
