Merchant: Wilbur Hance Fegan was born at Houtzdale, Pa., July 14, 1877. He attended the public schools of Franklin county; four terms of Summer Normal School at Rockhill Furnace, Pa. His father was William S. Fegan, born in 1839 and died in 1919. His mother before marriage was Julia Campbell, who was born in 1843 and died in 1918. Both parents were American born. Mr. Wilbur Fegan taught school at Allenport for one term; three terms in Clay township, and one term in Cromwell township; is associated with Ray Buckley in the mercantile business at Allenport, a suburb of Mount Union, Pa., where they with their splendid ability have established a growing business. In Pitcairn borough he was secretary of the school board for six terms; twelve years in the billing department of the Penna. R.R. at Pitcairn, Pa.; was transferred to claim department, Penna R.R., at Pittsburgh, Pa. A member of the Methodist Church, Mount Union, Pa. Attends Sunday School and has served two terms as president of class; also has acted as steward of the Methodist Church of Swissvale and Pitcairn. Belongs to the Junior Order of A. Mechanics, No. 38, Eureka Council Mystic Chain Castle, 203, Pitcairn, Pa. A Mason, 688, Mount Union, Pa. Has one brother, James C., Altoona, Pa. One sister, at Altoona, and one brother and one sister deceased. Was married to Cora Buckley, Orbisonia; two daughters, Florence Lenore, who taught school at Allenport three years; now attending Juniata College; Helen Louise, at home, attending high school at Mount Union, Pa. His favorite sport is hunting. Mr. Fegan through straightforward methods has won the respect of his fellow men.
