FLASHER Three Springs, Pa. Three Springs Milling Company: Samuel J. Flasher was born January 21, 1883, at Three Springs, Huntingdon County, Pa., and at Sugar Grove, near Three Springs, he received his early training. A son of George W. Flasher and Elizabeth (Painter) Flasher. The father died in 1924; the mother resides at Three Springs, Pa. Scotch-Irish parentage. At present Mr. Flasher conducts the milling business known as the Three Springs Milling Company, and has conducted it for thirteen years, manufacturing the Ivory White Flour, which is much in demand, and carrying in stock also the Larrow Dairy Feed. Previous to engaging in this business he was a bricklayer and stonemason; also a contractor; he built the cement bridge at Robertsdale, and also the beautiful stucco home of Mr. Cutshall, at Three Springs. Was assessor for thirteen years and served on City Council of Three Springs. During the World War was Registrar of Eligibles for Three Springs; appointment by Federal authorities. He belongs to the I.O.O.F., No. 790, Three Springs, since 1911. Is a Republican. Has four brothers: Albert J. married to Emma Prough, Three Springs; Harry, married to Larue Berrier, Three Springs; Vinton, married to Margaret Varner, Phoenixville, Pa. Samuel Flasher married May Barron, of Three Springs. They have seven children, as follows: La Rue, at home; Sheldon, U.S. Navy, on battleship Wyoming; enlisted for two years; Laurence, at home; Erma, thirteen years; Thelma, eight years; Julian, six years, and Norma, four. Through careful attention to the public's wants he has built up a large business.
