H. S. FLOYD, M.D. Marklesburg, Pa. Physician: Dr. H. S. Floyd was born at Belleville, Mifflin Co., Pa., a son of Dr. J. B. Floyd, of Belleville, Mifflin Co., Pa., a physician for many years. Died in 1927, aged eighty-three years, and of Margaret (Weyler) Floyd, who died in 1926, aged sixty-nine years. Dr. H. S. Floyd began his educational career at Belleville and later on in life attended the Indiana State Normal School; a graduate of Duff's Business College, Pittsburgh, Pa., and Jefferson Medical College, Philadelphia, Pa., in 1907, receiving the degree of M.D. Practiced at Pittsburgh, Pa., since his graduation; with the exception of the last two years has been located at Marklesburg, Pa. Was ordered to Fort Oglethorpe, Ga., as Lieutenant of Medical Corps; in the meantime the Armistice was signed. Is a Mason, Cannonsburg, Pa., No. 297, Chartiers Chapter. A Republican. Has one sister, Arietta, married to Dr. G. W. Farquhar, of Loganton, Centre Co., Pa. Dr. H.S. Floyd was married to Minnie Sykes, a daughter of the late J. F. and Margaret Sykes; both parents are deceased. Mr. Sykes was an architect of Pittsburgh, Pa. Dr. Floyd is a learned man in his profession, and takes an interest in community affairs.
