L. FOUSE Lincoln Township, Huntingdon County, Pa. Farmer: M. L. Fouse was born in Huston township, Blair County, Pa., November 29, 1864, and in the township of his birth received his early education; also attended summer schools. A son of Dewalt and Agnes (Greaser) Fouse. The father died at the age of seventy-fours, and was a farmer all his life. The mother died at the age of seventy-two years. M. L. Fouse later on attended the Seminary at Martinsburg, Pa., 1899. Located in Lincoln township, Huntingdon County, Pa. First bought fifty acres, added seventeen acres more, and finally thirty-three acres, making one hundred acres, all told. This farm is known as the Houp farm. He has resided there for the last thirty years. Dairy and peach growing is his specialty. Earlier in life was employed by the Huntingdon and Broad Top Railroad Company as foreman. Both he and his wife belong to the Reformed Church of Marklesburg, Pa. During the World War was engaged in farming. Belongs to Pomona grange, Marklesburg, Pa. Is a Republican. Has one brother, Dewalt, a merchant and postmaster at Grafton, Pa. M. L. Fouse was married to Ellen Bear, a daughter of George C. and Amanda Bear; they have two sons: George H., married to Ella Troxel, a farmer, Penn township; Fred K., married to Elizabeth Summers, Lincoln township, Huntingdon county, farmers. Four daughters: Carrie, married to Clarence Fouse, Lincoln township, farmers; Grace, married to James Entriken, State Highway Department; Viola, Waynesboro, Pa., engaged in office work, Landis Tool Company; Hazel, at home, attending the high school, a senior.
