Hardware and Farm Implements; Born at Waterstreet, September 22, 1883. A son of Lewis S. Goodman, who died in 1918, and of Dorothea (Harnish) Goodman; living at 1008 Warm Springs Ave., Huntingdon, Pa., of English- German descent. David Goodman and Elizabeth (Numer) Goodman are the grandparents; they were farmers. Ross E. Goodman began his school training at Waterstreet, Huntingdon County, Pa., and later on entered the employ of the C.H. Miller Hardware Company and became thoroughly conversant with every phase of this business. He then located a business of his own, and carries a full and complete line of all that pertains to this class of business and enjoys an excellent trade. He belongs to the United Brethren church and is Trustee and Treasurer; also Sunday School Superintendent; belongs to the Masonic Fraternity, No. 300, Mount Moriah, Chapter and Commandery; Camp 321, P.O.S. of A., and No. 265, P.O. of A., all of Huntingdon, Pa. Is a Democrat. Has two brothers: Samuel H., married to Edith Dickinson, Huntingdon, Pa., and Clarence L., married to Bessie Price. Calvin C., is deceased, 1909. One sister, Mary D., at home. Ross E. Goodman was married to Ida Jane Claybaugh, who died March 20, 1908; was a member of the United Brethren Church. Two daughters, Beulah D., a Junior in high school, at home; Mary Louise, a Sophomore in high school, at home.
