Restaurant: Born in Miller Township, on a farm, March 13, 1880; stayed on farm until twenty-one years of age; began his schooling in Miller Township, Huntingdon County, Pa. Attended Juniata College, 1898 and 1899. Academic course. A son of Miles L. Greene, retired; owned a farm of 152 acres in Miller Township. His mother was Mary (Ash) Greene, who died in 1891 at the age of thirty-nine years. Robert Greene taught school for two years in Miller Township. He had a hotel at Petersburg for four years; followed restaurant business at Huntingdon, Pa., at Brunswick Hotel, for four years; last two years a farmer. On July 15, 1929, bought restaurant near Silk Mill, Huntingdon, Pa. He has been a tax collector in Miller Township. A Methodist; wife also, at Manor Hill, Huntingdon County, Pa. During the World War was in the hotel business at Petersburg, Pa. He has two brothers, Harvey H., Brunswick Hotel, restaurant business, Huntingdon, Pa.; Charles, Oswego, Oregon, a carpenter and cement finisher. Two sisters: Anne, marrried to C.A. Brumbaugh, Denver, Colorado; Mary, married to Herbert Blair, a farmer, MIller Township. Robert Greene was married to Fannie Randolph, a daughter of John and Jane Randolph, farmers, Jackson Township. Have two sons, Maurice R., married to Lena Milligan, daughter of William Milligan, Huntingdon, Pa.; Robert E., married to Grace Lininger, Akron, Ohio. Mr. Greene's place of business is well located for the convenience of the public.
