Hamilton Motor Co.: Archie Thomas Hamilton was born at Rockhill, Huntingdon County, Pa., April 16, 1889. A son of E. F. and Ida (Noonan) Hamilton, Franklin County, Pa. A graduate of Eastman Business College, 1809. He was in the mercantile business at Alexandria for seven years. Established the Hamilton Motor Company in 1921 for the sale of Ford cars, trucks, accessories, oil, greases, etc. During the World War was engaged in mercantile business. Belongs to I.O.O.F., Alexandria, No. 286. A Republican in politics. Has one brother, Ira, at Los Angeles, California. Two sisters, Myrtle, married to Harvey Shafer, of Mount Union, and Grace, married to Earl Roberts, of New Jersey. Archie Hamilton was married to Ella Huston, of Three Springs, Huntingdon County, Pa. They have four sons, Donald, eighteen years, a Junior at Saltillo High School; Robert, sixteen years, a Sophomore, and Max, fourteen years, a Freshman at Saltillo High School; Archie, eight years, at Three Springs School. Mr. Hamilton is an industrious business man; at present is a School Director. He received his early education at Saltillo, Pa. He delights in a game of tennis and baseball.
