Baggage Agent: The subject of this sketch, Mr. Stanley Harris, was named after his grandfather, S.B. Harris, of Huntingdon, Pa., now deceased. Stanley Harris was born at Mount Union, Pa., October 7,1866; in the public schools of Mount Union and Everett, Pa., he received his education. James B. Harris was his father; his mother was Margaret E. (Malone) Harris, of Shirleysburg, of Scotch-Irish descent, both deceased. In 1897 Mr. Stanley Harris entered the employ of the Penna. R.R. as a track hand under J.P. Ross, foreman, and later was made baggagemaster; this position he has filled for the last twenty-eight years, making a continuous record of thirty-two years with the Penna. R.R. Prior to entering the company's employ he helped to build the Pennsylvania Industrial Reformatory. He has one brother deceased, died in his twenty-eighth year. Mr. Harris married Clara M. Morningstar, of Huntingdon, Pa. Four daughters came of this union: Hazel, married to J.H. Edwards, now deceased, remarried to Howard Brandt, residing at Ellerslie, Maryland; Mary, married to Clair B. Miller, Altoona, Pa. Margery, married to John C. Columbine, Altoona, Pa., and Dorothy, married to Charles Klinger, of Mount Union, Pa. The automobile occupies his attention when time will permit.
