H. G. HORTON, M.D. Saltillo, Pa. Physician: Born at Enid, Fulton Co., Pa., August 31, 1887. A son of E. A. Horton, living at Enid, Fulton Co., Pa., who owns a farm of 105 acres; practically all of life a farmer. He married Sioux Glover. Both are living at Enid, Pa. Dr. H. G. Horton received his earliest scholastic training at the Wells High School. Applied himself towards higher education. Graduated from the Medico-Chirurgical College, Philadelphia, Pa.; received his degree of M.D. Previously was a school teacher at No. 4, Wells Township School, Fulton Co., Pa. For eight months Dr. Horton was at a clinic at the Pittsburgh City Home and Hospital. Practiced five years at Three Springs, Pa.; for twelve years at Saltillo, Pa., and has had a steady and successful practice. He attends the Baptist Church; his wife belongs to the Church of the Brethren, Greensburg, Pa. He has served as school director, and has been on the school board for six years. A member of the I.O.O.F. of Three Springs; the A.A.A.; Huntingdon County Medical Society; also the Pennsylvania State Medical Society. The political principles of Dr. Horton are Republican. Has two deceased brothers, Ralph and Lloyd. He was married to Delilah Harnish, a daughter of Zachariah and Sadie Harnish. Dr. Horton is a public-spirited man; takes an interest in all that has to do with the advancement of the community where he resides; a successful physician, brought about by keeping abreast of his profession.
