E. HOUCK Warriorsmark, Pa. Postmaster: C. E. Houck was born at Dungarvin, August 6, 1888, and was raised on a farm. He was six years old when his mother died. John Houck was his father; he dropped dead one evening between five and six o'clock; was fifty-eight years of age. He was married to Margaret Minemier. She also is deceased. C. E. Houck received his education at the Dungarvin schools and also the Marengo grade schools. He has been Secretary of the Huntingdon and Centre County Telephone Company since 1921; was a contractor in clay mines; also has lumber interests; is Postmaster; has been since 1924; was appointed under the Coolidge administration. At present he is a contractor to build a rural electric line for the Penn Central Light & Power Co. He is a Methodist, a steward, on official board, a Sunday school teacher, class of young men between sixteen and twenty years. Was farming duiring the World War. An Odd Fellow, No. 152, Tyrone, Pa. A Republican. Has two brothers: Harrry, married to Carrie Trimble, with Penna. R.R., Tyrone, Pa.; Blair, a millwright, with McClintoch & Marshall, Swissvale, Pa. Sisters are: Sue, married to Grant Ellenberger, Dungarvin, Pa.; Virginia, married to Walter Igou, with Penna. R.R., Tyrone, Pa., Annie, Tyrone, Pa. C. E. Houck was married to Nettie Saxon, a daughter of Elijah and Julia Saxon. Both deceased, of Dungarvin, Pa. They have two daughters: Charlotte, a clerk at F.K. Mattern store, Warriorsmark, Pa.; Minerva, a graduate of the Warriorsmark High School, a Sophomore at Juniata College. Charlotte was also a graduate of the Warriorsmark High School and also the Zeth Business School at Altoona, Pa. Note: Clay E. (41), Contractor, Light & Power, and Nettie W. (38) appear in the 1930 Warriors Mark, Huntingdon County census.
